Have you ever been in a situation where only you know the guilty person is actually the guilty one? I mean a situation everyone see the person through a positive lens. And it’s worse when you don’t have any evidence.
What did you do in such situation? Scream or air your opinion and watch it go unheard? Or your tongue got tied by shock? It’s such a mental disaster situation, my dear. Oh sorry, I didn’t mean to make you go down that lane of remembering the scenario.
And those who have never experienced it? I pray you never will cos it’s really mentally draining. You might end up thinking you’re the one hallucinating.
Most times, the best way to react in such situation is just to calm down first. I understand the situation is messing up with your head but slow down. Breathe in and breathe out. Don’t pick bottle or sharp objects near you. You need a clear head to either stay quiet or talk.
It’s okay to explain yourself if that’s what would make you feel you’ve tried your best. And you don’t need to beat yourself up when you get home because you were too shocked to say a word or scared you might cry. Everyone reacts differently and both action would still get people talking.
Some would tag you rude for standing up for yourself in such situation, especially if it’s someone older. Some would blame you for not talking and might say you’re wrong is why you kept quiet. Some would say it’s crocodile tears if you cry.
Always remember that whichever way you choose to react would still get people talking. So, stay calm and do you with a clear head.
