You’ve been invited on a date and all on your mind is free food or how it’ll lead to getting the other person wrapped in your hands. I really want to give you two knocks on your head but it’s a pity my hand can’t come out of your screen.
It’s usually saddening when I hear or meet people who can’t hold a sensible conversation on date. And I’m not talking about “Where do you see yourself in the next ten years?” even before getting to know someone’s present life.
What do you mean when you say you went on a date and none of you talked about genotype? Like the conversation didn’t pop up — as how na? Not even stylishly through a conversation linking till you got to the topic?
Okay, you think it’s weird and looks pushy. Welcome to my generation where asking about genotype on a first date is weird but getting laid on a first date is seen as normalcy.
Genotype is even beyond marital compatibility. I’ll talk about the importance of knowing your friends genotype in next post. Let’s focus on this one first.
You’re on a date, getting to know each other is also knowing your genotypes. I’ve heard and seen genotype incompatibility break long time lovers. Something that could have been avoided if you had asked the right questions earlier. And the most annoying one is getting to know you and your partner are not genotype compatible when your wedding is in few weeks. What in hell’s name have you been saying and doing?
Our parents had excuse because the awareness wasn’t in circulation during their time. …but you? In this generation? You didn’t know it was that important? Can you even hear yourself?
When next you’re on a date, remember the genotype topic. It’s the easiest way to abort mission if you realize you’re not genotype compatible. It’s heartbreaking if you find out when you both are already deeply in love, but it’s still better than when it’s few weeks to your wedding. Few weeks to your wedding is also better than discovering after you already said “I do” or when you start having kids. Whichever step you’re presently at, you can still find out after seeing this.
