Drunk on P!

When we talk about misuse of power, people are usually quick to point fingers at the government …but what about we the electorates? Director General of showcasing power! Drunk on P — P for Power!

The ones that get on my nerves the most are commercial drivers. Isnurrh kuku their fault, na me wey still dae do public transport na. According to my life calendar wey I draw for primary school, I suppose don dae gift people car as birthday gift by now.

Cos tell me why you’re charging me for the luggage I’m traveling with, asides the transport fare. 1k for a medium box? Am I expected to travel with only handbag cos koyemi (I don’t understand). The way the nonsense act went from not being in existence to becoming a normal thing is an evidence of how we’re usually quick to adapt to extortion. And I’m sure one fish head started it. It’s the reason we need more people to speak up — those there when it first started didn’t dabaluwe (scatter) everywhere as they should.

What makes it really annoying is that they’d tell you to go look for another vehicle if you won’t pay a seperate fee for the luggage. Knowing fully well that it’s what they all do in their park. Have you ever gotten involved with someone in charge of letting people in to a place? “I’m attending to only people on this queue. The rest of you should find your square root.” Then, the fish head starts attending to another queue cos his spec is on the queue. Or the woman suddenly abandons a certain queue cos she recognized the man that was shouting earlier on the queue. Na your power na, use am — it’s what you and the government you’re condemning have in common.

If you get to an organization, it’s those people with the least position that are usually quick to flex their muscle. Oga (the boss) said his/her secretary should direct those that came for interview. Secretary suddenly dispose of the rule that says “first come, first serve”. Now, those that didn’t add “ma” or “sir” when they greeted secretary would go in last. Especially the one secretary saw as being dressed too much. No, there’s the one with big back side that reminds secretary of the lady her man cheated on her with. Then, there’s the lady with a beautiful smile — this one already looks like a threat to secretary if she gets the job. All of them on secretary’s black list? To the back! Secretary on the seat of power now… clock it!

When you’re given something to share amongst others and we start hearing something like “Mine should be the biggest cos I was the one they gave to give you people ooooo”, ma lo farrr baby (don’t go far). Just pick one; umbrella or broom? You’re no different from the politicians you’re condemning, my darling.

Last December, you were shouldered with the responsibility of sharing December goodies to your colleagues. Instead of sharing it equally as you should, you decided to place a tag on everything in order to easily recognize the wickedness you’ve done. Mr Chukwudi and Mrs Adebayo have never been in your good books and it was time to deal with them — so, theirs is the smallest of what you’ve shared. Well Done sir/ma! — na your hand power dae.

When talking about misuse of power, we’re meant to have one slapping machine on standby to do the necessary. E get as belle dae usually turn me if I see pesin wey no dae different from government but get full chest to dae attack government.

Most times, the only difference between the bad government we condemn and we the electorates is that we’re not the ones on seat.
